Python Data Engineer Position Overview:
We are looking for a Python Data Engineer to join the Data Strategy team within Equity Research. We hope to find a candidate with 2-5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role and prefer a graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems or any other quantitative field.
Job Type/ Length:
Full-time – Contract – Remote 100% – 1year+
Pay:
$515.00 – $575.00 per day

Python Data Engineer Job Responsibilities:
- Build the infrastructure required for the optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources
- Assist the onboarding and evaluation of new data vendors
- Create and maintain the optimal data pipeline architecture
- Develop processes for automating, testing, and deploying your work
- Collaborate with other technical team members to build integrated solutions.
- Provide technical support to end users
Python Data Engineer Required Skills:
- Data Engineering – Python
- Knowledge of ETL and data integration frameworks
- Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL, familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Spark
- Hands-on experience with PySpark in the past is highly desired
- Experience with AWS cloud services such as AWS S3, AWS Athena, AWS Glue
Python Data Engineer Additional preferred skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Experience using Databricks environment
- Capable of troubleshooting complex problems
- Prior experience in a strategic, quantitative is desirable.
