Python Data Engineer Position Overview:

We are looking for a Python Data Engineer to join the Data Strategy team within Equity Research. We hope to find a candidate with 2-5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role and prefer a graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems or any other quantitative field.

Job Type/ Length:

Full-time –  Contract – Remote 100% – 1year+

Pay:

$515.00 – $575.00 per day

Python Data Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • Build the infrastructure required for the optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources
  • Assist the onboarding and evaluation of new data vendors
  • Create and maintain the optimal data pipeline architecture
  • Develop processes for automating, testing, and deploying your work
  • Collaborate with other technical team members to build integrated solutions.
  • Provide technical support to end users

Python Data Engineer Required Skills:

  • Data Engineering – Python
  • Knowledge of ETL and data integration frameworks
  • Advanced knowledge of Python and SQL, familiarity with data processing frameworks such as Spark
  • Hands-on experience with PySpark in the past is highly desired
  • Experience with AWS cloud services such as AWS S3, AWS Athena, AWS Glue

Python Data Engineer Additional preferred skills:

  • Ability to work collaboratively
  • Experience using Databricks environment
  • Capable of troubleshooting complex problems
  • Prior experience in a strategic, quantitative is desirable.
